This is a used Tennsmith 48-inch x 16-gauge power rolls on customer added casters for easy shop movement or storage. Typical markings on rolls from use. Not recommended for aluminum or copper.
Two front rolls that sit almost on top of one another are the initial pinch rolls, the back roller is the bending roll. How tight the bending roll is adjusted to the two pinch rolls will determine the degree of the curve. This back bending roll comes standard with an Alignment Groove that runs across the longitudinal of the roll. As the workpiece goes into groove, it squares up for proper forming serving the purpose like a square arm would serve to a 52″ Shear. Wiring Grooves are standard on the bottom of the two front rolls.
The smallest diameter pipe that a Power Roller can produce varies with the thickness of Galvanized but typically the rule of thumb (which also applies to Tennsmith’s SRP16) is that the minimum is 2x the roll diameter when used at capacity in gauge and in width. The roll diameter is 3″ when used at capacity (16ga) and at full width (48″).
On 16ga x 48″ long, the smallest diameter produced is 6″, because the roll diameter is 3″. On lighter gauge and shorter pieces there’s a varying ability of rolling to a smaller diameter. If new is preferred please let us know and we can quote you a new set of rolls, thank you. Call 800-753-0393 for a delivered price.
